My Thoughts on Pendragon Raven Rise

If you have ever read the ending of “Pendragon: The Pilgrims of Rayne”, you'd probably find the last ending of the sentence very mysterious. If you can't recall it, it says how Saint Dane, the evil bad guy enters Convergence. Now convergence has to do with the territories in this book coming together and the walls seem to be breaking down and the natural order of things is in chaos.

Evidence of the walls breaking down is when Bobby, travels down the flumes seeing all these different images of things from different territories and as the books progress the images are more abundant. Since the flume on Ibara is destroyed you'd think no traveler can leave the territory but it seems Saint Dane did by somehow entering the convergence. Now I have a whacked out theory that the walls between the territories are so thin that travelers can seemingly enter other territories without the flume by some way. The only way I can think of is some weird portal appearing in front of the traveler but that's a tad bit ridiculous.

A saying is a picture tells a thousand words. If you look at the cover of “Pendragon Raven Rise” it'll tell you a lot of stuff. You can see Bobby is now a young man who in my opinion seems to be twenty and his hair has changed but hair doesn't really matter. Anyway, there is probably a time skip from book eight to nine, because of Bobby looking way older, in fact I thought the person on the cover was Patrick or something. So the time skip will be a few years in my opinion with Bobby living a nice life on Ibara while Mark, Courtney, and the travelers battle Saint Dane in the mean while.

Another thing that sort of shouts out to me while looking at the cover and the title is Saint Dane coming to power on Third Earth and having some kind of political power. Why? Because, first of all “Raven Rise” tells you Saint Dane is rising in power because his favorite form besides his normal shape is a raven. Second of all, the person on the podium seems to have the crowd going in a good way, which makes me think Saint Dane is the man and he'll probably either not care about Pendragon like he says in the eighth book or making Pendragon public enemy number one somehow.

Something I thought of that sort of stops me from thinking Bobby is going to save the day in the end is him getting off Ibara. A lot of fans and that includes me think that Bobby is going to somehow unearth the flume if its still intact and shout “Third Earth” or something. Now I think this is a strong possibility or there is my crazy theory in the first/second paragraph about ripping through the walls of the territory and entering another territory.

Now my final thoughts on the ninth book is Pendragon's love interest. We all know he is all over Courtney and such but I bet it will change (though I'm not betting anything actually lol). Sure Courtney and Bobby have been through a lot together and kissed, Telleo or should I say Nevva Winter is going to change it all. If you read the eighth book you know Nevva is Telleo in disguise and is ordered by Saint Dane to make him love Ibara and even love the character Telleo, which is what might happen.

In conclusion those are my thoughts on “Pendragon Raven Rise”, which is going to be awesome. Also I bet that the final book will be called “Convergence”. Anyway these are some thoughts from a seventh grade Pendragon fan.

Three Book Series You Should Try to Read

Children of the Red King (Charlie Bone Books)

This is a fabulous series of books written by Jenny Nimmo which is in the fantasy genre about a young boy named Charlie Bone who is endowed with a special gift along with other descendants of the Red King, who is a magical king with children who inherited powers from him. For example the main character, Charlie can travel into pictures and even take objects out of them. This book is a bestselling children's series that is a great adventure for all ages. Currently the series is on going.

The Pendragon Adventure

This series of books (written by D.J. MacHale) is actually my favorite series because of a lot of reasons. The Pendragon books attract a wide range of readers because of its interesting combination of fantasy and science fiction, but it is in the fantasy category. These books will definitely get you addicted to reading it towards the end and the plot is original and full of action and adventure. I guarantee you will enjoy these books as long as you try it. Currently the series is on going.

The Inheritance Cycle

This was going to be a trilogy but Christopher Paolini added an extra book, but that doesn't matter. Despite all the critics saying it's a fusion of “Star wars” and “Lord of the Rings” with a bit of the less known “Riders of Perm”, but for all you Star wars fans as well as Lord of the Rings fans or even both, you should enjoy this and it'll probably bring back memories from the books or movies.

So enjoy your reading and the order of these three series of books does not have to do with anything about how much I like them, but if your curious to know, these books in order from least to best is Children of the Red King, The Inheritance Cycle, and The Pendragon Adventure.

Theme: The Rebellion of the Magical Rabbits

In the beginning of this of story the wolves conquered the rabbit lands by using power and force. Then the Wolf King is a tyrant who tried to destroy all traces of rabbits and proclaimed rabbits do not exist.

Then birds reported seeing rabbits which irritates the Wolf King who then he demanded photos of his acts of triumph. So the monkey photographer was ordered by the Wolf King to take a photo of him.

The monkey photographer came to the Wolf King to take a photo of him. The picture was took and developed the old and gray fox became angry at the photographer for not noticing the rabbit ear in the picture next to the king who looked like he won a boxing match. The monkey then erased the ear sticking out in the photo with a strong acid but soon more problems sprung up in the pictures. When the Wolf wanted a picture of him smashing the beavers dam and scaring away the pigeons the photos showed the rabbits got in the pictures because of there speed. Even though the fox's sharp eyes scanned the area for rabbits the rabbits were so quick they got into the picture without the fox's noticing. The monkey photographer had to erase more rabbits while the Wolf King demanded even and more rabbits appeared in the pictures. The King Wolf started to be even more commanding and changed the bird's tune forcibly.

Also when the photos were being erased of rabbits they began to look defective as if they had been tampered with. More rabbits had appeared which troubled the monkey photographer so he cleverly thought of persuading the Wolf King of sitting on a throne where rabbits can't enter the picture. The monkey than had to take back all the photos with the rabbit and got in trouble with the Wolf King for being accused of a traitor. New security was added which was a boa constrictor and many one hundred eyed spiders set in strategic places to find any rabbits. Another thing that was ordered was half of the population had to cut off their fur. Cows also had their own milk turned sour by the Wolf King too.

During the turning point of the story the monkey had to take a photo of the Wolf King on his throne and he became nervous because if there was a rabbit he had to eat all the photographs. The rabbits than fought off the security of wolves but the rabbits were to fast and agile to be taken down. The rabbits gnawed on the throne and managed to collapse it when the monkey taken the photo and the wolf king had his fur torn and ribs broken.

The wolves lost there power and the monkey photographer developed the picture quickly as he could. The monkey photographer gave his daughter the special picture she wanted and the sun shined with the world full of rabbits.

The theme of the story is that victory of peaceful resistance and strategy and intellect can overcome violet rule. The rabbits are the protagonists of the story and represent peaceful resistance and the Wolf King was the antagonist and represented tyranny and force. Also the Wolf King characteristics were a mean, greedy, uncaring, and boastful person. The gray old fox was a servant of the power structure and the monkey was one too but was a main character. Also when the Wolf King's throne collapsed it represented the power structure collapsing because after that the tyranny of the wolves ended and they retreated.
