This is the book of the Philippines' official exorcist Fr. Jose Francisco C. Syquia. He narrates his work experiences and encounters with the manifestators of the evil spirits. He also give the Catholics some tips about their Faith.

The book review of motivational Catholic preacher Bo Sanchez urged me to buy this book, Exorcism: Encounter With The Paranormal and the Occult. The author of this book is a Director of Archdiocese of Manila Office of Exorcism, Fr. Jose Francisco C. Syquia.

The book contains the narrative explanation of Cathlicism and Philippine Folk Religion, the secrets of the New Age Movement, and the expository of ministry of the exorcism.

After reading this new and controversial book of Fr. Jose Francisco C. Syquia, my devotion to Mama Mary strengthen and also with my faith to Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. This book urged me to go back to the Sacraments of the Church.

Summary

The truth is the devil really exists. That is why we have some struggles. But, God calls us to fight against the kingdom of Hell.

Adam and Eve were given the supernatural gift of grace and preternatural gifts. The preternatural gifts is ESP. After they both fall from sins, the preternatural gifts remained. Except for the saints, the opening of the third eye becomes a doorway for evil spirits to harrass the people.

Catholicism is against the witchcraft, shamanism, sorcery, spell-craft, spiritism, divination, and other occult practices, which can be found in New Age Movement and Fok Religion. Through the Sacraments and devotion to Mama Mary and Jesus Christ with the intercession of the saints and angels, we can overcome the temptation to practice the occult.

Conclusion

Before, I have curiosity with New Age Movement and Folk Religion. Thanks to God in which I found this book to enlighten me all possibilities. Through reading this book, God opened my eyes and ears to the true Light which can be found in the kingdom of God.

My faith was strengthen as I prayed the Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Divine Mercy Chaplet regularly. I frequently have the Sacrament of Reconciliation and Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist because I know that I am not perfect.

If you consider me as a religious freak, it is fine with me. But, I tell you the truth. I renounce my evil ways related to sorcery, and I am striving hard through the help of the Holy Spirit to be a good child of God. I maybe not perfect but, as a Catholic, I need the Sacraments of the Church. And, this is the story of my faith
