The end of the three part series when the power goes out. Could've kept going, but its to depressing.
When the power goes out, this is part 3. All has gotten worse with no lights to see, The night has become darker with every cruel day, Everyone was used to the American way, A job and security with comfort in hand, We are now stranded on a powerless land, We will have to learn to stay warm by making fires, We can't wait for a brighter future with all of our desires, The murder rate was multiplied a hundred fold, In the deep dark future the stories will be told, We will have to hunt for our own food, At this time in humanity things are getting crude, Famine has set in with deaths from morning to night, No food, no shelters, and no guiding light, The suicide rate jumps to mass proportions, There are no hospitals for abortions, Women not wanting to bring kids into this life, There was no help so they used a knife, All of this sounds bad, but sit down and think, At night time with no power its as dark as ink, Coal and oil won't last with all of the using, The tables will turn and it won't be amusing, There are third world countries with no power already, If they cut down a tree it's with a machete, With no power, the U.S. slowly but surely falls apart, We all end up equal to the homeless guy with a cart.
