Falling Up

This book has a lot of funny poems.

The book that I read is called Falling Up. In one way, all of the poems in this book are alike because they all are funny. Another way is how some of them don't make sense.

My favorite poem in this book is called “Advice.” The reason I like this poem is because it's funny, and spoke of someone's death. Here is how the poem goes “William Tell, William Tell, Take your arrow, grip it well, There's the apple-aim for the middle-Oh well… you just missed by a little.” Andthat is what my favorite poem, and how it goes.

My second favorite poem is called “Writer Waiting.” I like this poem because it is about nerds and usually stuff about nerds is funny. And here is what it says: “Oh shiny new computer there isn't nothing cuter. It knows everything the world ever knew. And with this great computer I don't need a writing tutor, "Cause there ain"t a single thing that it could do. It can sort and it can spell, It can punctuate as well. It can find and file and underline and type. It can edit and select, It can copy and correct, So I'll have a whole book written by tonight (Just as soon as it can think of what to write).”

Here is my opinion of this poetry book and whom I recommend it to. I think this was a very funny and entertaining book. I recommend this book to those who are interested in funny books.
