One decision may change your life as so to Paris. I believe I would not describe Paris as being considered a Greek hero. Paris would not be able to fit the position of being a hero as because he is very deceitful, self-centered, and very dastardly.
The reason why I would describe Paris as being a very deceitful individual would be when he betrayed his love (Oenone) for the most attractive women on earth (Helen) as quoted in the myth “If you leave me now”, Oenone announced, “you will beg for my help when it matters the most. And I shall refuse to help you, Paris.” That quote properly demonstrates how Paris wanted to leave Oenone and she was trying to persuade him to stay with her.
Paris is considered as being self-centered because when Oenone still tried to convince Paris but he still would not cooperate with her. Paris had already been married to Oenone daughter of the river god. Instead Paris had chosen Aphrodite's power which was love; he moved on to see the most beautiful women on earth Helen who already married to King Menelaus.
Dastardly that is one word I would use to describe Paris's actions. In a sense he chose Helen and didn't want to become lord of Asia Minor and Europe or be a great warrior or have wisdom just as Hera and Athena had offered dastardly Paris. In the quote “
In conclusion since Paris's actions have proved him to be very deceitful, self-centered, and very dastardly I greet him as being the last person that I would ever find as a Greek hero.
