The event I will be coming to is when Robert let Matthew, his younger brother of the age of 7, walk to town by himself.
When my little sister wants to play outside, I let her go by herself. I usually don't think much of it just like Robert did, but once I kind of had a bad feeling about something after she was outside for like half an hour. My sister was fine, she was just playing basketball. when, something bad did happen. His brother got kidnapped.
I didn't really have a reason for feeling weird about my sister being outside, but Robert had all the reasons in the world. Robert had some strange things happing to him. The chickens got scared so they were hiding in the corner of the barn and he found a blood egg from one of the three eggs fell and blood came out. He also suspected the other two eggs to be blood eggs because they looked and felt weird, just like the last egg.
My reaction was relief that she has ok and not hurt in an accident or missing from being kidnapped. I don't know how I would have reacted if she wasn't there or hurt, but a guess that I would be very angry.
Unlike in my situation with my sister right in the front yard, Robert could not check up on his brother because he was walking to town a long ways away.
