While Roylin is in the school he falls in love with this girl named Korie. Korie is a transfer student from another high school so it's her first day at Roylin high school. Roylin shows Korie were her science room is located at. Her science room is 112. Korie tells Roylin the he is a very nice guy. Roylin is amazed the he is talking to one of the prettiest girls in his high school. Roylin tells Korie if he could see her schedule, Roylin tells her that they have the same lunch period and the same science class.
After Roylin class Korie asked Roylin that her birthday is coming up and she is turning 16. Roylin works as a waitress in a restaurant and uses his pay check to pay for his car insurance. So Roylin asked Korie what she wants for her birthday. Korie tells Roylin that she wants a necklace for her birthday. Roylin tells a lot of lies to Korie, Roylin tells Korie that he gets paid a lot and that he buys expensive jewelry for her mother all the time and that getting her the necklace is no big deal to him. She tells him if they both can go see it at the mall after school the next day. Roylin tells her all right will go after school the next day.
The next day when they go she tells him look how pretty it look, the necklace cost $300.00. Roylin tells her don't be surprise if u get it for your birthday. The necklace has a bright blood-red ruby at the bottom of the necklace. Korie starts hugging and kissing Roylin in front of all those people. Roylin didn't care if he was getting embarrassed in front of all those people he was just happy that he was with Korie. Roylin would spend $50.00 on the necklace so he asked his friends if they could let him borrow $250.00.
His friends would let him borrow $5.00 only and they would not let him borrow that much money on a girl that Korie just met. So he decides to go to one of his friends that is named Mr. Miller he is an old man that was like a father to Roylin he was old now and lived by his self because his daughter left to live somewhere else. When Roylin goes to Mr. Miller house Roylin finds him asleep in his house watching TV so he decides to take the money out of his wallet before him woke up. Roylin took $250.00 out of Mr. Miller wallet.
Roylin then runs to the jewelry store to buy the necklace the Korie wanted. People were surprised when Roylin bought the necklace worth 300 dollars. He wanted to tell Korie that he got what she wanted for her birthday but he knew he would have to wait into it was her birthday. Korie just tricked Roylin to make him buy her that necklace. He really just liked a football player that goes to Roylin School. One day when Roylin was going back to his house when the janitor of the apartment were Mr. Miller lived told Roylin that Mr. Miller die of a heart attack.
