Halloween just got over and Marty, Dara Lynn and Becky were already talking about what they were going to be next year. Then Ma said that they will be inviting Judd Travers over for Thanksgiving Dinner. While Judd is there, there is no talking during the dinner. Judd brought over squirrels for them to make a stew out of, right after Judd left they made it. Mary went over to play at David's house, when he was there they talked about a guy missing from Ben's Run.
Ma told them that they were going to visit there grandma in her nursing home over Christmas, when they went, they were all bored. After that Marty and David went down to the creek where Judd crashed, they found a frozen boot. Marty visited Judd and Judd said that the boot was his. Marty was helping Judd by helping Judd and his dad put up a fence for Judd's dogs, they put up the fence. There were a lot of robberies in the town so people locked their homes, people thought is was Judd.
They went to their grandma's funeral and when they got back they was a few things that got stolen. There was a blizzard and they couldn't drive on the roads. Judd used his truck as a snow plow so some people could get out of their houses. David came over and they searched the schoolhouse and found the people who stole the objects, they were 2 men that escaped from the jail. Everyone at school figured that Marty and David found the 2 people.
It was getting warm out and Judd wanted a gate put in, so Marty went over there and help put one in. Judd accidentally stepped on his dog's paw and the dog bit him. David came over and his Ma needed to go to the dentist, so they had a babysitter. Marty and David went to the creek because their friends told them there is a dead body floating down the creek, they went and checked it out but it was just a Halloween dummy.
Dara Lynn and Becky came out, and Dara Lynn was on top of the railings. Marty looked away then heard a scream and looked over and Dara Lynn was in the water. Just in time his babysitter came out and told Dara Lynn what to do, she got out safely but where was Shiloh. Marty saw Shiloh in the creek and he was trying to save Dara Lynn when he couldn't fight the current. Judd came down the road and he saw Shiloh. He saved Shiloh and Judd was a hero.
