Synopsis
John is a boy who loves Dragons. One day, on his way through the park he finds a book. As he opens the book to look for an address, he sees a picture of a very large and ugly dragon about to attack a small animal. John gets dizzy and passes out. When he comes back to he is in a strange land in a scary forest. There he meets Krogy a very silly looking dragon who will be his guide on his journey through Fire o'mouth. Along the way he learns about not judging a book by its cover, being led astray, faith and more.
The book was inspired by the author's son's love for Dragons and other magical Creatures. The only way to get her young boy to sit still was to make up stories and that included one of his favorites. Like all children his attention was not very long and she had to get as much information as possible into her Tales.
During her time as a Member of a Christian Church, she wanted to explain simple concepts like betrayal, faith, being judgmental against other people and basic Bible Stories. To do so, she created the Character named John and gave him many of her child's characteristics. By doing so, she was assured that he would recognize him-self in the story, making it feel as if he was the one in the Adventure.
As her Boy grew older and after sharing this story with many other children, Christian and Pagan alike, she decided to self-publish this delightful little Book. You cannot find this Book in any Store, but can purchase it directly from lulu.com.
I would suggest this Book for Age Groups 4 on up. There are no Pictures in this Book. The Book is “small” with short Chapters, easy to read as Bedtime Stories.
The Story in this Book is timeless due to the thought provoking subjects covered in its playful, funny and even whimsical manner. The Book is great for either boys or girls with a sense of fantasy and adventure.
Since lulu.com is a print-to-order Company, you should expect to wait up to two Weeks for delivery, but the wait is well worth it. I hope you will give this book a try and enjoy some fun reading with your child.
