Book Review: Diary of a Spider by Doreen Cronin

A review of book about a Spider and his friends, Fly and Worm.

This book was about a Spider and his friends, Fly and Worm. Spider had a grandpa and he told him all the things he needed to know about being a spider. Spider also learned things in school. Spider really just wanted to be friends with everyone, but some of the other characters didn't like insects.

Even though spider had eight legs, and therefore wasn't an insect, they still did not want to be his friend at first. After they got to know him better, they wanted to be his friend too. He also learned how to fly using the wind and his web. His grandpa traveled all around the world and sent postcards from where he visited.

My favorite character was Spider. He is a little spider who is very nice and likes to play with his friends and learn from his grandpa. I liked this book because it showed that everyone can be friends no matter what or who you are.

It also showed why it is very important to have friends when you are a kid. I think you should read this book because it was fun and Spider reminds me of myself and my friends, Omar and Alec, and the fun we have together even though we are all different in someway.
