Review of "the Shack" by William P. Young

I recently read the book "The Shack" by William P. Young.  This is a really great book to read, it helps you to look at God in a different light.  He is not here to judge us of punish us for all of the bad things we do.  He is here to love us and to be our father.  He wants to have the ultimate relationship with us, he wants us to let go of all our fears, and thinking that we have to be in control and just trust him.  In the book a father takes his children on a camping adventure and one of his children is abducted and murdered.  He is living in depression until one day he gets a note from God asking him back to he shack where the murder took place.  When the man arrives at the shack wonderful events begin to unfold before him.  You will begin to see that God can take something ugly and turn it into something beautiful.  You have to let God help you through all of your struggles and trials.  He is there for you every step of the way.  He is waiting to wrap you in his arms and say "I am especially fond of you".  God loves you and wants to be there for you if you can only let him in.
